The Johnson County Medical Center was one of the first buildings built in Tecumseh in the 1880's.  The original site had three separate buildings that over the years house a wide variety of businesses such as a meat market, moving theatre, a bank, the first John Deere dealership in Johnson County and a shoe shop.  In 1997, the entire set of buildings were completely remodeled and made into one building and a conference room was added.  We now have over 5,000 square feet of very modern and efficient space and yet we have preserved the original 1880's look of the building.  The exam rooms are on the periphery of the building with all of the support services such as lab, x-ray and business offices in the middle of the building.  The large conference room is one of the most used rooms in the clinic as family meetings, group meetings, and patient education sessions are conducted in this room.  The entire building is decorated with tasteful antiques from our rural past time giving a comfortable, homey atmosphere to this office.
